What is NPS?

Net Promoter Score (NPS) measures how likely your customers are to recommend your product, on a 0–10 scale. Respondents scoring 9–10 are promoters, 7–8 are passives, and 0–6 are detractors. It is the most widely used loyalty metric in SaaS.

How is NPS calculated?

Take the percentage of promoters, subtract the percentage of detractors, and ignore passives. The result is a score between βˆ’100 (everyone is a detractor) and +100 (everyone is a promoter).

NPS = % Promoters βˆ’ % Detractors

Example: with 100 responses β€” 46 promoters, 32 passives and 22 detractors β€” your NPS is 46 βˆ’ 22 = 24.
